Collection substrates

Different types of collection substrates can be used on the SDI to collect the particles in different size fractions. The collection substrates used in the SDI are 19 mm in diameter, the particle deposit area is 8 mm in diameter. Dekati offers aluminium and polycarbonate sub for this purpose: For the suitability of different types of substrates, please contact support@dekati.fi.

The collection substrates can be greased to prevent bounce and blow-off of the particles. The particles stick better to the greased surface, and the effect of bounce can be reduced or completely prevented. Dekati provides suitable grease for this purpose in two different forms: grease that needs to be dissolved in a suitable solvent and then applied on the substrates, and grease already dissolved in the solvent and provided in a form of spray.
