Applications

DGI is a cascade impactor that can be used to measure particles in any application where particles exist in its operational size range (<2.5 µm) and high amounts of sample are available (sample flow rate 50 – 100 l/min). Typical applications for the DGI are automotive engine exhaust measurements since the high sample flow rate of the DGI enables high sample yield even in short measurement periods. In addition, the DGI’s cutpoints are in the size range of interest when engine emissions are measured. Other typical applications for the DGI include power plant emission studies and air quality measurements.
