SearchDekati® Thermodenuder |
FAQ 1. What is a thermodenuder? Thermodenuder is a device which is designed to remove volatile and semi-volatile compounds during automotive exhaust conditioning. 2. How does a thermodenuder work? Volatile compounds are vaporised in an aerosol heater, which heats the sample to over 250 °C. After heating, the sample enters the adsorber section, where the vaporised compounds are adsorbed in active charcoal. 3. When should I use a thermodenuder? The thermodenuder is used to remove volatile organic matter from the sample. The thermodenuder should be used if only dry soot particles are to be measured. 4. How is the active carbon changed? In thermodenuder the active charcoal is embedded in easily replaceable active charcoal cartridges. When the active charcoal is changed the whole cartridge is replaced. |
